Adult Faith Formation

“Adult Catechesis is the principle form of catechesis because it is addressed to persons who have the greatest responsibilities and the capacity to live the Christian message in its fully developed form.” – Blessed Pope John Paul III

The Catholic faith is not simply a series of doctrines and a list of “do’s and don’ts”. The Catholic Faith is a way of life and involves a relationship with a real person, Jesus Christ! All adults, Catholic and non-Catholics, are invited to attend any of the Adult Faith Formation opportunities offered here at Holy Spirit. Please see below for what we have coming up!

Fr. O’Donohue’s Tuesday Night Bible Study

Join us for a study of the Book of Hosea this fall! Learn about God’s messages to the Prophet Hosea, who lived during a time of widespread idolatry among the Israelites. This book has many lessons about God’s unfailing love and forgiveness, the dangers of idolatry, and the important of repentance. Classes meet in the Pastoral Center on Tuesday nights beginning September 23, 2025 from 7:00-8:00 PM.

Women’s Bible Study

For women 18 years or older, this fall we will uncover the treasures of the Bible and our Catholic faith in our fall study of the Gospel of Luke. Ascension Press’ Luke: The Story of Salvation Fulfilled program will help us come to better know, love, and serve God through small group studies. You have the option to meet either on Wednesday mornings or Thursday evenings. Learn more here.

Young Adult Bible Study

The Holy Spirit Fire Young Adults group invites all ages 21-39 to our bible study series. Currently, we are studying the Book of Daniel and how his visions relate to Christ. Join us on Thursday, August 21, 2025 for our last meeting on this series.
