CYO Basketball

Holy Spirit CYO Basketball is a winter sport, and is open to boys and girls in grades 3-8, registered in one of the following: registered in one of the following: Holy Spirit School, Religious Education, or Homeschool.

CYO Basketball Registration

Season Schedule:

Practices begin first week of November and end around the second week in March 2027. Each team will have one practice a week.

Games begin as early as the first weekend in December and are played on the weekends at various schools throughout the Diocese. Number of games will be contingent upon gym space. The goal is to provide each team with at least 5 games throughout the season.

Practice Schedule 2026-2027 will be posted toward the end of October.

Online Registration & Forms:

Along with the online registration through SportsPilot, the following must be reviewed and completed prior to participation:

  • NVJCYO: League Expectations video produced by the Diocese of Arlington – must be watched by parents / guardians and participant
  • Forms – via Docusign, all participants complete a Permission and Medical Form, Code of Conduct, and Concussion Awareness. After registering though SportsPilot, a Docusign link will be emailed.
  • The participation fee is a total of $250 – $150 for the registration fee, $100 for the uniform deposit. Uniform deposits will be reimbursed upon receipt of uniform at the end of the season. Deposits will be reimbursed electronically, to the credit card used at the time of registration. We will not accept checks.

Important Disclaimers

  1. Registration does not guarantee a spot on a team or that a grade will be able to play. There are many factors at play, including gym space, that will limit the number of teams. Refunds will be provided by Holy Spirit if a team is cut. We should know by early November at the latest.
  2. Playing time may be less if teams are larger.
  3. Games may be shorter and rules may be amended—number of teams dependent.
  4. Driving distances may be increased based on gym availability.
