Fairfax FISH

Fairfax FISH, “For Immediate Sympathetic Help”, is a volunteer, non profit ecumenical outreach organization which comprises 14 churches located in Fairfax County in and around the City of Fairfax.

FISH provides funds and volunteers to serve the needy and elderly in the greater Fairfax City area of Fairfax County. FISH responds to requests for life’s necessities:

  • food deliveries to hungry families
  • clothing closet for those in need
  • financial assistance (for delinquent rent, mortgage, utility bills, gasoline, and prescriptions)

Clients served by Fairfax FISH are screened and referred by the Fairfax County Department of Social Services. Fairfax FISH Boundaries include zip codes  22003 (inside the beltway), 22030, 22031 and 22032.
