Fiat – Girls’ Small Group
Fiat is a fun, joyful, and faithful small group for middle and high school girls at Holy Spirit Parish.
Fiat exists to help young ladies embrace their feminine genius, and their ultimate vocation – knowing and receiving God’s love – all while making lasting friendships.
We meet twice a month on Monday evenings. Meetings include snacks, fun and fellowship, spiritual formation and discussion, and silent prayer with Our Lord in the Church. We believe this last part of our meeting (silent prayer) is the most transformational, and makes our group unique! One of our emphases is to develop our personal prayer life, by practicing different forms of prayer such as communal prayer, silent prayer, prayer in Adoration, Lectio Divina, and more. We also incorporate fun “liturgical living” activities throughout the year, as well as occasional outings to art museums, convents, and more.
A portion of many of our meetings include Endow’s youth studies. In a world that sends conflicting messages about what it means to be a woman, a teenager, and who she should become, this youth series provides a refreshing and transformative alternative. The girls often say it is the “best part” of their week. Come try it out—we hope you’ll join us!
