Hot Meals for the Homeless
“Hot Meals for the Homeless” provides an evening meal for the homeless 365 days a year (yes, even on Christmas Day!) under the auspices of FACETS. FACETS serves individuals and families who are homeless, low income, unstably housed, and at-risk of homelessness in Fairfax County.
Holy Spirit participates in this worthwhile mission on the fourth Sunday of each month.
Depending on the time of year, we distribute between 100 and 175 meals per month.
How Can I Serve?
Volunteers can help by:
- baking cookies
- assembling meals
- assisting with meal delivery and distribution
- purchasing socks and/or toiletries to distribute with meals
- donating gently used seasonal clothes for men and or women
