RE | First Penance & Confession

At Holy Spirit, children make their first Confession during Lent in the 2nd grade year, as part of their preparation for receiving their first Holy Communion. During that first Confession service, all family members are invited to go to Confession with the children; fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, everyone! All other children enrolled in CCD classes have the opportunity to go to Confession twice a year, during the Church’s penitential seasons of Advent and Lent, during their CCD classes. 

If your child is older than 2nd grade, and has not gone to Confession, please contact the Office of Religious Education to make arrangements.

Important Dates

• First Confession – March 7, 2026 at 11:00am for Holy Spirit School students
• First Confession – March 14, 2026 at 11:00am for Homeschool and RE CCD students
