Cenacle of Mary

The Cenacle of The Marian Movement of Priests is one of thousands throughout the world focused on praying for all priests to accept the invitation of Our Lady to consecrate themselves to her Immaculate Heart, to be strongly united to the Pope and to the Church, and to bring the faithful into the secure refuge of her motherly Heart.  The cenacle meets weekly in the church from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. to pray for priests and personal special intentions.  Prayers include the Rosary, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, and the Liturgy of the Hours.  All are welcome. Legion of Mary

The Legion of Mary is the largest apostolic organization of the laity in the Catholic Church, with over 3 million active members in over 160 countries worldwide. The purpose of the Legion is to give glory to God through the sanctification of its members. Legionaries become instruments of the Holy Spirit through a life of prayer, frequent reception of the sacraments, and apostolic work done in union with Mary, under the guidance of a priest.

Our Lady of Pentecost Praesidium meets on Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. in the Pastoral Center.. Guests are always welcome and may go on one of the work assignments with an experienced member. Active members of our Praesidium at Holy Spirit Parish are involved in the following apostolic work:

  • Visiting the sick

  • Weekly Rosary at Leewood Health Care Center

  • Establishing friendly contact with non-Catholics.

  • CCD Instruction

  • Sacred Heart Enthronement in parishioners ‘ homes

  • Pilgrim Virgin Statue Visitation

  • Door-to-door evangelization

  • RCIA

Parishioners who are unable to attend weekly meetings and assist in the apostolic work can be auxiliary members. This dedicated group recites the Rosary daily and says the prayers contained in the Legion Tessera. These members unite with us in prayer as we perform our apostolic work.
