Wednesday Morning Study

Ascension Press’ Acts: The Spread of the Kingdom, 20 lessons

Wednesday mornings every week starting Sep. 6 in McGivney Hall, 9:45-11:15 am

Acts is the story of how a few Christians, empowered by the Holy Spirit, were chosen to bring Christ and the Good News to the ends of the earth. They faced secular forces, internal strife, and hostile crowds, and despite all of this, they brought the kingdom of God to a broken world and the love of God to the hearts of men.

Acts: The Spread of the Kingdom traces how the gospel witness spread outward in waves from Jerusalem, and reveals how the seeds of Church structure and authority took root. Presenter Jeff Cavins shows how the joys and struggles of the early Christians in living the life of Christ apply to us today.

Thursday Evening Studies

WWP Beholding His Glory, Intermediate Study, 9 lessons

Thursday evenings *every other* week starting Sep. 7 in McGivney Hall, 7-8:30 pm

Beholding His Glory, an intermediate level study, shows us how all Scripture points us to our Redeemer, Jesus Christ. We’ll learn to recognize and appreciate God’s plan for our own lives, His awe-inspiring majesty, and His desire for personal intimacy with each one of us. As we study the people and events of the Old Testament, we’ll encounter problems that only Christ will solve, needs that only He will satisfy, and promises that only He can deliver.

WWP Grounded in Hope, Advanced Study, 17 lessons

Thursday evenings every week starting Sep. 7 in McGivney Hall, 7-8:30 pm

In a world where levels of despair, addiction, and suicide are rising, we need more than cliches or positive thinking. Grounded in Hope, based on the book of Hebrews, will help you encounter Jesus in such a powerful, comforting, and stabilizing way that He will become your lifeline.

Hebrews contains some of the most beautiful passages you’ll find in Scripture. It will comfort you and challenge you. Every word of it has a treasure to mine, and those who are willing to make the effort will be richly rewarded. Note that this is an advanced study and requires more homework than our other studies.
