Deacon Malcolm D’Souza

Deacon Malcolm D’Souza was born in Karachi, Pakistan on December 19, 1966, and moved to Alexandria, VA in 1973 with his parents, grandmother, and older sister where they were members of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.  He proudly attended Catholic schools in the diocese: St. Anthony’s grade school and Bishop Ireton High School.  Deacon D’Souza graduated from George Washington University with a Civil Engineering degree, went on to a career in Information Technology (IT), and currently works for Health and Human Services. He married his lovely wife Kathleen in April 1997, and they have four beautiful daughters, Maryanne, Rebecca, Victoria (deceased) and Elizabeth.  They live in Kings Park and have been members of Holy Spirit since 1999.  Deacon D’Souza was ordained by Bishop Michael Burbidge on January 12, 2019, which incidentally is the birthday of his dearly departed daughter, Victoria – (God is good).  He is excited to serve his Holy Spirit family who greatly nurtured his diaconate formation.
