Volunteer Drivers Needed

How would you get to a medical appointment if you could no longer drive and lacked the family support or money needed to get you to the doctor’s office? This is a problem facing many senior citizens in northern Virginia for many reasons, generally due to medical limitations or financial need.

The Shepherd’s Center of Northern Virginia is a non-profit organization with many services for seniors. In particular, they provide free transportation to medical appointments for seniors age 50 and up through their team of volunteer drivers, offering their clients not only better health, but also a sense of independence and freedom. And right now they have many more clients than they have drivers.
