How Can I Serve During COVID-19?
Without the compassion and generosity of so many, we could not
carry out our holy mission to serve the poor
and strengthen the Church’s mission.
Holy Spirit parishioners are making a difference and have the opportunity to support two types of food ministries: a local pantry run just 7 miles away from Holy Spirit and St. Lucy Project.
We are still accepting food donations in the front of the church in the bins. Bins are always being monitored. Non-perishable foods, please.
In the month of April the Annandale Christian Community for Action (ACCA) provided $140,000 to pay for rent and utilities for our neighbors in the Annandale, Baileys, and Lincolnia areas. ACCA volunteers provided food for 65 Families last week The need for food and monetary assistance grows each week. You can help! (continue reading…)
The Women’s Council will continue to sponsor the Diaper Collection. Donations can be dropped off at the front of the church in the bins. Bins are always being monitored.
Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington continues to serve the poor and vulnerable, including those affected by COVID-19, while being attentive to the top priority: to keep clients, volunteers and staff safe while addressing the needs of families and individuals within our Diocese. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Catholic Charities is hosting drive-through food drives at local parishes when donors can drop off non-perishable food for the St. Lucy Food Project while practicing social distancing and without getting out of the car.
