And Jesus went on wtih his disciples, to the villages of Caesarea Philippi, and on the way he asked his disciples, "Who do men say that I am?" And they told him, "John the Baptist; and others say Elijah; and others one of the prophest." And He asked them, "But who do you say that I am?" Peter answered him, "You are the Christ" (Mark 8:27-29)
Every human person must come to answer the simple question asked of Simon Peter on that day on the heights of the Golan. It is, in fact, the answer to this question that will lead each person to his or her eternal destiny.
To bring children to know Christ and to know the gift of his Church is the role of each family. To assist families in this most important mission, Holy Spirit offers a continuing course for all children from first grade through high school.
The purpose of the Religious Education at Holy Spirit is to invite young people to come to an ever deeper knowledge and love of the Lord Jesus, through Sacred Scripture, the Church’s liturgy, and service to the poor and the needy.
